Ticks are out worse than ever this season but there's an easy way to help prevent ticks on both you and your dog. Pick up some brewers yeast in the vitamin section of your local superstore, its a natural product known for various health benefits in both humans and dogs. growing up on a farm we have also always used it to prevent ticks and it has always worked for us!

Might be a dumb question, but what do you do with the brewers yeast? Feed it to the dog or sprinkle it on them?

Not a dumb question at all! I've always seen it in tablet form, it's just a small vitamin. Follw the adult dosing instructions on the bottle for yourself and feed your dog a tablet once or twice a day, depending on dog's size and severity of the ticks. It's an all natural supplement, so it's not typically dangerous to either. I know it's a trick to get my dog to eat his sometimes, so simply put it in with his food, in a treat or inside a piece of cheese.

For really small dogs, you may want to break the pills in half depending on how big they are to make them easier to swallow and give them a half a one twice a day, totaling one pill a day.
